Work Interiors Approach to Project Delivery
‘Right First Time' is an approach to interior construction project delivery that continues to set Work Interiors apart from the competition. It is a program that clearly manages expectations and communicates effectively to clients, employees and suppliers alike.
The program
- Project handover - a formal, well documented and planned set of procedures ensures smooth transfer of ownership from business development representatives to the delivery teams within Work Interiors.
- Site set-up. To ensure professionalism on site at all times, Work Interiors produce a site checklist which outlines level of standards including welfare, health & safety, personnel inductions, routine checks and audits, client agreements and site set-up
- Supply Chain Management, Selection and Performance. Work Interiors devote considerable resources to identifying and vetting appropriate organisations for a wide range of individual trades and specialist services. All suppliers are pre-approved and continuously measured on their performance.
- Communication with the client underpins every success on project delivery. Regular project meetings, reports and day-to-day communication is part of every project
- Change Management. A strong relationship with the client is key when managing change. The interior construction project management team are experts in quickly identifying the impact of change, in terms of cost and program
- Commercial Management and contractual compliance is the responsibility of every Work Interiors construction project management team
- Construction Programs. A full construction programme will be produced and updated on a regular basis for the client
- Site Management. All Work Interiors sites are equipped with labour and materials that allow safe and effective construction progress. This includes a comprehensive portfolio of site documentation, drawing management, inductions, training programmes, site rules and site diary
- Welcoming Client visits to site; safely! Work Interiors encourage their clients to visit the site guided in a safe manner by their project manager
- Client Handover. A thorough and comprehensive handover programme that leaves the client with peace of mind! It includes project completion notices, completion date, occupation details briefing, hand-over meeting, practical completion certificate and insurances.
- Snagging procedure. Work Interiors aims to undertake its own snagging procedure prior to handing over the building to its client for acceptance and to complete any project snagging within 14 days of practical completion.
- Operation and Maintenance Manuals are supplied to all clients on completion of their project. The document includes all testing results, relevant equipment details and service literature, actual control settings, as built drawings, maintenance advice etc.
- Client Feedback. Work Interiors are always looking for ways to improve their service. They will arrange a post contract review meeting as soon as practicably possible following completion of the project. The purpose is to review performance and identify any areas of the construction project management process where service levels can be improved in order to add future value to their clients.
