Work Interiors leads global firm into new design era
Endress+Hauser has recently moved into their new Sales Centre, near Wythenshawe in Manchester which has been designed and furnished by Work Interiors. The move represents a significant step forward for the company, as for the first time, all 150 Manchester-based staff will be located in the same building. The move symbolises a landmark year for this leading supplier in the industrial process engineering industry, with demand for their products and services at an all time high.
A strong culture is central to Swiss-based Endress+Hauser and the company prides itself on its core values of quality, communication and creativity which are shared by all employees.
It was important to the company that the workspace reflected their culture and values whilst providing a functional environment that met the requirements of each department and team.
The new Sales Centre boasts many unique design features including an open-plan communal space, aptly named ‘The Street’, positioned on the ground. There is also a restaurant, where employees will take their lunch together each day, a tradition which indicates the importance Endress+Hauser places on employee collaboration and unity.
The offices feature unique desk layouts dependent on the team’s function. For example, project teams will sit in wave formations allowing more space combined with a degree of privacy. Customer service teams will sit around 120° pentagons allowing unhindered access to the telephones and ease of movement during conversations.
Work Interior’s project manager, Matt Dunsmore said:
“Design has to have a purpose and recognise the impact of people and processes. It was essential to us that the finished work space supported the requirements of each team, from sales and marketing through to testing and development.
“We wanted to pull out all the stops for Endress+Hauser because we knew how important both the building and their people are to the company. What we’ve done here is design a space that will inspire people and help them get the most out of every working day.”
Chris Nolan, marketing manager at Endress+Hauser, said: “Work Interiors became fully immersed in our project from initial planning and design through to final installation. They understood our culture and future requirements and delivered a solution we are truly proud of it”.
