Case study
Property Company
What we found today
Bruntwood provide office space ranging from one desk for one month, to whole buildings. They own over 80 office buildings in Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham and have over 800 customers. Their entire business is resourced and managed as a service business and as a result their customer retention rate is almost 4 times higher than the UK national average.
Work Interiors were originally invited by Bruntwood to assist with the interior design for what was to be their first Leeds managed services offer to the Yorkshire property market.
Following initial briefing meetings it became quickly apparent to Bruntwood that the full Work Inc Group proposition was very aligned with what they were trying to achieve not only in terms of available Work Inc products and services but also due to their refreshing culture based on great individual attitudes and teamwork.
What we did
The scope of Work Inc’s provision of products and services were as follows
- Workplace performance consultancy
- Feasibility study
- Exterior and architectural interior design
- Spatial planning and interior design
- Category A and B fit-out
- Furniture specification and supply
- Technology specification and supply
Timescale : 10 months
Scope : As above for core areas of reception (part of ground floor) plus 9 x floors above
Making it work
The building consists of a 6,000 ft² welcome and meeting room space that provides reception, conference, hospitality and meeting room facilities for the customers that occupy the core space which is just short of 100,000 ft².
The functional yet stunning designs created by the combined Work Inc architectural and interior design teams promised to connect the employees occupying the building through the use of space and technology from top floor to bottom; which resulted in the building becoming fully let in record time.
The design and function of the building was recognized in 2006 by the independent body ‘The Association of Interior Specialists’ and awarded “Gold” for “Best Design and Fit-out” for a project with a value in excess of £250,000.
